110th street is based in Preston, Lancashire and has played together since July 2008. The band consists of Katie Miller (lead vocals), Paul Thornton (guitar), Craig Smith (keyboards), Nick Carey (bass) and Tony Shatliff (drums). The band members have over 50 years gigging experience between them and are well established professional musicians.

110th street was formed by Nick Carey. Tired of the local rock and soul music scene, Nick wanted a different kind of sound with a real 70’s funk groove. They’ve created fresh interpretations of classics like Green Onions, Mr Big Stuff and Pick up the Pieces and put a northern soul spin on newer tracks like Mercy and Stone Cold Sober.

At events the band uses professional high-quality PA equipment. They can also arrange a specialist DJ to play northern soul, Tamla Motown, funk and disco so you can party ’til late. Background music for wedding and corporate events can also be provided – a choice of keys or guitar playing jazz standards, classical or other popular tunes.

The band is available for outdoor gigs and can provide a 10mx4m marquee for an additional charge.
